UW Disability Information
- UW does not have motorized wheelchairs for rent but we do offer a list of area businesses that have wheelchair rentals available. That list can be found on our website and I’ve included the link here.
- The UW has a service called Dial-A-Ride through the UW Transportation Services Office. Folks on campus for UW business can use this service for up to 4 weeks without requiring authorization. You can call 206-685-3146 to schedule rides from Lander à Hub and back.
- Visitors that need disability parking on campus can stop any of the gatehouses on campus and request a UW Disability Parking permit – as a visitor, they can obtain a disability parking permit without having a disability hangtag through the state. The hours are M-F 6am-9pm and Saturday 7am-noon. This would work for the central garage. If needed, there are parking spots available under Lander Hall.
- Taxis and cars are able to drive to the center of campus to drop folks off at the HUB/Kane Hall so if Elise prefers to have a taxi or ride service (Lyft or Uber) take her from Lander to those buildings where the conference is taking place, she would be able to be dropped off near the entrances.
